This essay examines the profound influence of language in shaping cultural identity and interaction through my participation in the SAWA program, experienced in both Berlin and Sharjah. SAWA’s approach, using English as the main medium while incorporating local linguistic nuances, reflects a commitment to fostering cross-cultural dialogue and inclusivity. The program showcases how language adapts and evolves, creating shared meanings and connections across diverse settings, ultimately underscoring its role in fostering understanding and collective cultural experience.
